Mr. Berwick Duval currently serves as an attorney for the law firm Duval, Funderburk, Sunbery, Lovell & Watkins. Prior to this position, Mr. Duval was a law clerk for Gordon, Arata, McCollam in New Orleans; an insurance agent with Duval, Whitney, Stevenson, Inc.; and a real estate broker for Duval Real Estate, Inc.
Mr. Duval serves his community through a variety of organizations. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Terrebonne Bar Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Coastal Conservation Association, member of the governmental affairs committee for the South Central Industrial Association, and member of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Duval received a gubernatorial appointment to the Coastal Restoration Advisory Committee and serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Restore or Retreat, a nonprofit organization concerned with issues of coastal erosion.
Mr. Duval earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Nicholls Sate University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and his J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is married to Alexis Acosta Duval, CPA, and is the father of two sons.
