E. Renae Conley is President and Chief Executive Officer of Entergy Louisiana, a position she has held since 2000. She has executive responsibility for the company's electric distribution system, natural gas distribution operations, regulatory and governmental affairs, customer service, economic development programs, as well as the company's financial performance. Entergy Louisiana, the largest utility company in Louisiana, is comprised of Entergy Louisiana Inc. and Entergy Gulf States Inc. and serves approximately 1,000,000 customers. Conley joined Entergy Corporation in 1999 as vice president of investor relations, where she was responsible for linking the company's strategic vision with the financial expectations of Wall Street. Conley's professional career includes a long list of leadership roles in the electric utility industry. She has served as president of The Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of Cinergy Corp. She has also served as president and CEO of Cadence, a joint venture of Cinergy, New Century Energies and Florida Progress. Her career at Cinergy also includes positions as vice president of sales, and as general manager of corporate communication and investor relations. Her wide-ranging career also includes work in customer service, accounting, treasury and investor relations for PSI Energy. Conley is also active in many noteworthy social and civic endeavors. Through her work on the board of directors of the Council for a Better Louisiana, she promotes educational excellence initiatives that benefit Louisiana schoolchildren. Her efforts to improve the quality of life for young people extend beyond the classroom. She currently sits on the executive committee of the Baton Rouge Boys Scouts, Inroads, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana, a non-profit organization which provides research and offers solutions to the most pressing issues in the state. She is also a member of Governor Blanco's advisory commission for coastal restoration and conservation. With a focus on the future, Ms. Conley endorses economic development initiatives that create more jobs by building a stronger business climate in the state. She serves with other Louisiana business leaders on the Committee of 100, an organization dedicated to building stronger communities across the state. In 2004, she was recognized for the second consecutive year as a Key Woman in Energy in the Americas, a national honor bestowed on female executives for their contributions to their company, community, and industry. Ms. Conley has a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a Master's in Business Administration, both from Ball State University. |
